This ginger relative is native to the tropics and thrives in a warm, moist environment. The plant forms upright stalks of lush, broad foliage and, given a long enough growing season, will reward you with exotic, white flowers. Keep warm—at least 65°F— well watered and in the brightest sun available. The roots will be ready to harvest at the end of the growing season. Hardy in zones 9 and above.
